AceShowbiz - Ricky Martin found himself being entangled in legal trouble. The "Livin' La Vida Loca" crooner is reportedly being sued by his former manager for breach of contract.

According to legal docs filed in Los Angeles Central District Court on Wednesday, June 29, Rebecca Drucker is suing Ricky for more than $3 million in unpaid commissions. Rebecca states that she managed the 50-year-old during two separate time periods, from 2014 to 2018 and later from 2020 to 2022.

Rebecca claims that she worked with him on two separate occasions due to his "personal and professional life [being] in absolute turmoil." She additionally notes that she helped him through "recording contracts, touring and sponsorship deals, and other professional endeavors."

"Rebecca Drucker saved Ricky Martin's career... There is just one problem: Martin completely and maliciously refused to pay Rebecca the millions of dollars in commissions that he owes her under their management agreement," the 15-page complaint further reads. "With Rebecca at his side, Martin made millions of dollars and therefore owes Rebecca substantial commissions."

In the suit, Rebecca declares that she "fiercely protected" Ricky when he was threatened and intimidated with a "potentially career-ending allegation" in September 2020. She said she "advised him and brought in top litigation counsel to handle the matter."

Thanks to her help, Ricky "emerged unscathed and proceeded with his professional resurgence." She continues, "Now set to play a lead role in the highly anticipated Apple TV+ series 'Mr. and Mrs. American Pie', Martin is once again primed to reach the heights of fame and fortune."

Unfortunately, when the musician is back on his feet, Ricky allegedly "fostered a toxic work environment wherein he constantly mistreated, manipulated, and lied to Rebecca, forcing her to resign as his manager in April 2022." She alleged that the singer has "threatened" to keep her mouth shut with a nondisclosure agreement.

Rebecca made it clear in the docs that she "will not be silenced." She refused to sign the NDA and decided to take legal action against the artist.
