AceShowbiz - Khloe Kardashian's decision to celebrate Father's Day with her cheating ex Tristan Thompson doesn't sit well with her fans. "The Kardashians" star has been slammed for spending time with the NBA star after his paternity scandal was aired on the Hulu show.
On Saturday, June 18, the Good American founder was spotted grabbing lunch with Tristan and their daughter True Thompson at Sagebrush Cantina and Saloon with her mother Kris Jenner, as well as her nieces Dream and Chicago, and nephew Psalm. Also joining the lunch were Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Kylie Jenner, Travis Scott (II) and grandma Mary Jo.
As Khloe got into a black SUV, Tristan, who stood next to her, was seen squeezing her arm as she leaned into an "awkward" hug. Khloe was also spotted appearing tense and facing away from the basketball player.
Fans were quick to blast Khloe for still spending time with Tristan even after the scandal. Many believed that she's showcasing a bad example for True. They were not pleased by the awkward hug between Khloe and Tristan as well.
Some of them found Tristan's body language controlling and bashed the mother of one for continuously allowing his poor behavior. "I understand she wants True to have the family dynamic, but why is he holding/hugging Khloe?" one advised, with another adding, "Protect and love yourself, Khloe. Do you see him acting/trying this way with his other children's mothers or their kids? No, and there's a good reason for that. He knows he can control and walk all over you and still get his way."
"This body language doesn't look like a hug to me… lol," a third noted. A fourth remarked, "I wish there was a video of this moment. He's squeezing her arm and it almost looks like she's trying to push him away."
"She should think about what message this actually sends to True. Many of us imitate the example set by our parents and True is going to see firsthand the treatment her mom accepted from a serial cheater," another mentioned. "What you allow is what will continue," someone else warned.
The family outing came after Tristan's betrayal was played out on "The Kardashians". Following the episode, however, Khloe took to her Twitter account to hint that Tristan still deserves forgiveness.
"We all deserve forgiveness and most of all... LOVE ... Life is full of lessons, teachable moments. We should handle them with grace/love," Khloe tweeted. "Even if we are hurt by them... Take ur moment, cry/scream but remain composed remember that Love heals teaches more than anger ever will."
