After leaked to social media, the first teaser for the seventh installment of the action film franchise is officially released online, showing Tom Cruise pulling death-defying stunts.

AceShowbiz - The first teaser trailer for "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One" is finally here. After leaked to social media, the teaser that was first debuted exclusively at CinemaCon has been officially released online for fans' viewing pleasure.

The teaser shows the return of Henry Czerny, who appeared in the original 1996 "Mission Impossible" as IMF director Eugene Kittridge. He and Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt have a tense meeting, with the former telling the main protagonist to pick a side.

"Your days of fighting for the so-called 'Greater Good' are over," Eugene says to Ethan. "This is our chance to control the truth. The concepts of right and wrong, for everyone for centuries to come. You're fighting to save an ideal that doesn't exist. It never did. You need to pick a side."

Ethan is soon whisked in high-octane action sequence that sees him in a car chase scene with Hayley Atwell's new character Grace and getting into a fight in a train. The video also teases some of the crazy stunts, including when Cruise walks on a moving train and drives a motorcycle off a cliff before skydiving into the air below.

Plot details are still kept under wraps, but "Dead Reckoning Part One" and its follow-up "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two" have been announced as a send-off to Ethan Hunt. Christopher McQuarrie, who directed "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation", returns to serve behind the lens and write the script.

Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson (II) and Vanessa Kirby are also among the returning cast, with Esai Morales portraying the villain. Pom Klementieff, Rob Delaney, Charles Parnell, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, Cary Elwes and Greg Tarzan Davis are also joining the cast of the upcoming movie.

"Dead Reckoning - Part 1" is slated to hit theaters on July 14, 2023, with its sequel being scheduled to be released on June 28, 2024.
