Making use of his Instagram account, Larry a.k.a. LVRD Pharoh slams Billboard after the 'Say So' singer took home two awards for Top RnB Artist and Top RnB Female Artist, for which Summer was also nominated.

AceShowbiz - Summer Walker's boyfriend Larry a.k.a. LVRD Pharoh is apparently not happy with the results of the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. Making use of his Instagram account on Sunday, May 15, he called out Billboard after Doja Cat took home two awards in R&B categories, Top R&B Artist and Top R&B Female Artist, for which Summer was also nominated.

In an Instagram Story post, Larry shared a screenshot of the winners of R&B categories at this year's BBMas. "@billboard explain to me how a Pop artist @dojacat wins 2 r&b categories???? And she has 1 r&b song ever??" he wrote over the picture. "@billboard numbers don't lie how did she win?"

Not stopping there, Larry went on to question, "As I recall still over it topped @beyonce lemonade TWICE. How did @summerwalker not win any r&b woman categories?" He added that he'll "wait" for Billboard's response to his inquiries.

While Summer has yet to comment on the matter, most Internet users echoed Larry's sentiment and applauded him for standing up for his lady. "he should speak up for his woman , i like it," one person said. "IKTR. Stand up for your boo Larry," another user commented.

"He's right, i love doja and doja deserves awards but she's not r&b and summer walker broke so many records and she should've won those awards," a fan added. "Summer Definitely should have won Giveon as well!!!! What a snub," another fan penned.

Doja won the first award at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, which took place on Sunday at the MGM Arena in Las Vegas, as she was named as the winner for Top R&B Artist. During her award acceptance speech, Doja said, "Wow. We did it! We did it! Thank you guys so much. I want to thank my fans again and yeah, I'm very grateful and I'm excited to see more people win." She concluded, "It's just wonderful to be here tonight with everybody, and, yeah, thank you, mom and, yeah, that's it."

She later returned to the stage to receive her second award of the night, Top R&B Album for her album "Planet Her". "Oh, boy listen, thank you. I really appreciate it I really, really do. It's an honor. I've always loved R&B," she shared. "Growing up, it's what raised me. I think that there's a lot of very talented R&B artists out there right now," she added, before giving Summer and The Weeknd a shout-out. "I think that everybody deserves this award," she concluded.
