AceShowbiz - Sam Asghari is an excited dad-to-be. The 28-year-old actor, who is expecting his first child with Britney Spears, is apparently embracing the element of surprise as he reveals in a new interview that he doesn't want to know the sex of his unborn baby.

During his appearance on "Access Hollywood" on Wednesday, April 27, host Mario Lopez asked him if he and the "Oops!... I Did It Again" hitmaker planned to find out the baby's sex ahead of time. To that, Sam answered, "That's up to [Britney], but I don't want to. It's something that I want to wait for."

Despite that, Sam has already had an idea how he will parent his and the "Circus" singer's child once the baby arrives. "If it's a daughter, it's going to be the most spoiled princess ever," the "Can You Keep a Secret?" actor explained. Meanwhile, "if it's a son, it's gonna be the toughest son. I'm gonna be tough on the kid," he said.

Sam also noted that he "absolutely" wants to be "hands-on as much as possible." He shared, "This is my baby, my first baby."

Britney announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post earlier this month. Alongside an image of a pink tea set and matching flowers, the "Toxic" singer wrote, "I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back … I thought 'Geez … what happened to my stomach ???' My husband said 'No you're food pregnant silly !!!' So I got a pregnancy test, and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby …"

As for Sam, he expressed his excitement on his own page. "Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect," he said at the time. "Fatherhood is something i have always looked forward to and i don't take lightly. It is the most important job i will ever do."

Britney and Sam got engaged in September last year after dating for nearly five years. The pop star is already mom to Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
