AceShowbiz - Rubi Rose has offered a clarification after name-dropping Nicki Minaj in her recent interview. When setting the record straight, the "I Like" raptress made it clear that she didn't mean to "disrespect" the "We Go Up" femcee's marriage to Kenneth Petty.

The 24-year-old cleared things up underneath a clip from her appearance on the "Big Facts" podcast. "I didn't mean it in a disrespectful way at all," she said. "I was just saying you can be happy with a man who makes less than you. I'll say Britney Spears next."

Rubi doubled down on her message on Instagram Story. "I just be talking off the top of my head … I gotta chill. I never intend to be shady or mean tho, so cut that please," she emphasized.

On the podcast, Rubi detailed what type of man she wants to have as a partner. "My preference is chocolate, tall, and preferably more money than me," she explained, prompting one of the hosts, DJ Scream, to giggle. He then asked her what she would do if her partner didn't make more money than her.

In response, the "Big Mouth" femcee stated, "If they don't, we can work on it. I will help, of course, but I don't want to be the man in the relationship, but I will." She went on to note, "I see Nicki Minaj is happy."

It remains unclear whether Nicki has noticed Rubi's interview. However, hours after it was released, the "Anaconda" hitmaker unleashed a series of tweets, urging people to keep her name out of their mouths.

"Many of y'all never experienced a 'Nicki got her foot on btchs necks' era & it shows,' " Nicki wrote. "So from this day forth y'all will not get papa bear mommy cuz y'all don't deserve her. Yall won't get 'bout to be preggers Nicki or preggers Nicki. Y'all gon get who y'all begged4."

"Excuse me, When you talk to me please don't bring the following 2 things up. A cheap h*e or a cheap heaux. U b***hes gotta learn now," she fumed. "Keep my mtha fkn name out ya mthafkn mouth. Ima show u tho."
