The 'Downtown: Life Under the Gun' artist is forced to defend himself from an online critic after he unleashes a series of selfies on his Instagram account.

AceShowbiz - August Alsina won't let anyone give unsolicited opinions about his physical appearance. Having been called "pretty" instead of handsome by a "fake" fan, the "No Love" singer didn't waste time to fire back at the individual.

On Thursday, March 14, the 29-year-old took to Instagram to post some selfies which saw him wearing a blue headband. Alongside the post, he penned, "HEILA BOY, & The Hood-Magician, Turned Emperor."

While many gushed over his look, one person in particular criticized it. "I'm not a august hater so I can say this but y'all know dam well the august from 9 years ago look way better than tis he looked like a handsome young king then now he pretty asf," the comment read.

It didn't go unnoticed by August, who replied, " 'I'm not a august hater,' .... and then begin to hate covered in fake love..." He added, "lol ain't my fault, u handsome for a girl & im 'pretty' as a n***a! Your words not mine. blame ya daddy & ya mammy! Cus SHEILA did her job."

Seemingly not done getting things off his chest, the "Downtown: Life Under the Gun" artist shared a screenshot of his response on Instagram Story. "If Yal be mad at Yal mama and daddy, just say det!" he argued in the accompanying message.

That aside, August declared earlier this month that he abstains from sex. He made the revelation during a Q&A intended to promote his new single, "Shake the World". After a fan suggestively jokingly asked, "@AugustAlsina when we shaking my bed? #ShakeTheWorld," he replied, "I ain't having sex, I gotta keep harnessing my energy and life force to continue summoning energy for all the spells that's been casted."

In the song, August sings, "I heard it's some s**t that's bound to go down when you got a billion dollars on the elevator/ Well, of course some s**t was bound to go down when you tangled up with the world's favorite (Ah-ooh)." It prompted social media users to assume that he alluded to his infamous entanglement with Jada Pinkett Smith in his new track.
