Taking to social media to air the dirty laundry, Smokepurpp says that he is 'done being humble' after claiming that the 'Flashing Lights' hitmaker owes him $9 million.

AceShowbiz - Kanye West may be having a financial problem with Smokepurpp. The "Flashing Lights" hitmaker has been threatened to be sued by the "Do Not Disturb" rapper over his alleged $9 million debt.

On Wednesday, April 13, Smokepurpp made his claims that the "Donda" artist owes him $9 million. "And Kanye, n***a, you owe me like $9 million, n***a," said the 24-year-old hip-hop star in a clip he shared on Instagram Story. He later urged the Yeezy designer to "hit me line, n***a, or my lawyer's gonna hit your lawyer."

In another video, Smokepurpp, whose real name is Omar Jeffery Pineiro, said, "Nah, I'm for real done being humble." The "Deadstar" artist added, "I mean it's 2022." Over the clip, he wrote, "Done being humble, f**k you," along with a yawning face emoji.

Smokepurpp said he's 'done being humble' after claiming Kanye West owes him $9 million.

Although Smokepurpp didn't say exactly the root of the issue, fans believed that it stemmed from his writing credit on Ye and Lil Pump's "I Love It", which was certified double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 after its release. "I mean he did write the song 'I love it' for pump and ye," one fan remarked.

Someone else opined, "I'll be generous and say his writing credit gets him 6% of all streams. Even if you said I love It got 10B streams, it would still only put his a** at 3M, and trust, his writing credit wouldn't get him 6%. Oh and Def Jam deals with paying royalties." Another social media user argued, "Doesn't really make sense when Kanye already freestyled that verse over the what would meek do beat months before he made I love it."

Smokepurpp explained during an interview with No Jumper in 2019 that he actually penned "I Love It" with Lil Pump on his 18th birthday. "The 'I Love It' s**t. I wrote that s**t," the "Audi" rapper shared. "Basically it was on Pump's birthday. Basically this n***a [Ye] just called Pump, blah, blah, blah. He wanted to make a song about this and I just wrote the song. And it randomly just came out. And he's like, 'Yo, the s**t you wrote came out.' "
