The 30-year-old 'Pride Over Pity' author acknowledges in a new statement that she now knows she 'blamed the wrong person for leaking my pregnancy news with Lux.'

AceShowbiz - Kailyn Lowry is owning up to her mistake. Admitting that she had "wrongfully" accused her former "Teen Mom 2" co-star Jenelle Evans, the mother of four took to social media on Thursday, April 7 to issue a public apology to the latter.

After seeing this week's episode, I wanted to address my storyline and the information I found out because I now know I blamed the wrong person for leaking my pregnancy news with Lux," the 30-year-old began her statement shared on Instagram. "With that being said, I wanted to formally apologize to my former costar Jenelle for wrongfully accusing her of leaking my pregnancy news when I was pregnant with Lux."

"At the time, I felt hurt and betrayed over a moment that I should have been able to announce on my own timeline," Kailyn went on noting. "And I voiced those feelings against who I thought caused them."

The "Pride Over Pity" author later added in the Friday, April 8 post, "I've been very open about the fact that I know my life is in the public eye and sometimes people forget that I am human and very real feelings are involved." She continued, "This was one of those times that I was extremely hurt, and I still wish I would have been able to announce my pregnancy on my own terms."

"All in all, no one likes admitting they're wrong, but I was wrong here, and I wanted to extend that apology to Jenelle. I am sorry," Kailyn concluded. In the caption, she penned, "I would tag, but I'm blocked. Jenelle, I hope you see this."

In February 2017, news broke that Kailyn was pregnant with her third child after welcoming sons Isaac, 12, and Lincoln, 8, in 2010 and 2013 with exes Jo Rivera and Marroquin. Six months later, the "Baby Mamas No Drama" podcast host welcomed Lux with her on-and-off boyfriend, Chris Lopez. In 2020, she gave birth to Creed, her second son with Chris.

Kailyn issued her apology after the Tuesday, April 5 episode of the MTV series airer. It showed Vee Rivera, Jo's wife and Kailyn's "Baby Mamas" co-host, admitting that she was the one who spilled the beans to Marroquin.
