AceShowbiz - Keanu Reeves may be ready to pop the question to his girlfriend anytime now. The actor has sparked a speculation that he's getting engaged to Alexandra Grant after he was caught ring shopping in Los Angeles.
On Thursday, March 31, the 57-year-old visited a jewelry store at Irene Neuwirth on Melrose Place in the West Hollywood area. In pictures obtained by Daily Mail, the "Speed" star was seen checking out the various sparkling baubles which include diamonds, pearls and aquamarine.
According to an eyewitness, Keanu spent about 40 minutes in the store where he was attended by a store clerk. It's not clear if he eventually bought something from the store or which item he landed his choice on, but the timing seems right as Alexandra is having a birthday on April 4.
For the outing, the Neo of the "Matrix" film series wore a black jacket, worn-in blue denim jeans and brown work boots with a gray scarf wrapped around his neck. He also sported sunglasses and carried his KR motorcycle helmet with one hand when he left the store as he wore his dark hair down. Inside the store, he wore a protective mask.
Keanu and Alexandra met in 2009 at a dinner party. They collaborated on the books "Ode To Happiness and Shadows", for which the artist provided visual art and Keanu wrote poetry. The 48-year-old artist is a Swarthmore College graduate who uses language and exchanges with writers as a source for imagery in sculpture, painting, drawing and video. They also have publishing house X Artists' Books.
The two started dating in 2018, but they did not go public with their relationship until November 2019, when they attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala Presented By Gucci in Los Angeles together as a couple. In 2020, when Keanu filmed "The Matrix Resurrections" in Berlin, Germany, Alexandra joined him in the country, where they reportedly stayed in a rented home.
