AceShowbiz - A horse has just sent Lisa Vanderpump from its saddle to the hospital. The reality TV star is reportedly hospitalized with broken bones after she was thrown off the horse she was riding on Sunday, January 30.
Per TMZ report, Lisa was riding her horse at The Paddock in the Los Feliz part of Los Angeles during the accident. The animal apparently got spooked, reared up and bucked the "Vanderpump Rules" star off. An eyewitness tells the site she flew over the horse's head and landed on her back.
Lisa was reportedly in a lot of pain as she broke her legs in two places, just above the ankle. The former star of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" also suffered bruises on her back. She was immediately taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Her husband Ked Todd followed behind on his own vehicle and is currently with her at the hospital. She reportedly needs surgery, but sources believe she will be fine once she's all healed.
According to the news outlet, Lisa has known the horse for 6 years. It's unclear what caused the equine's sudden and unexpected move.
This is the latest health setback that Lisa has undergone in less than a month. Earlier this year, she tested positive for COVID-19. The 62-year-old revealed her diagnosis on January 11 along with a cartoonised photo of herself frowning. "Agh it finally got me…#covid_19," she captioned it.
Her co-star James Kennedy wrote in the comment section, "feel better soon Lisa." Drag queen and former "RuPaul's Drag Race" contestant Trixie Mattel expressed sympathy as writing, "My poor baby!" Alice Cooper guitarist Tommy Henriksen also sent wish for Lisa's speedy recovery, "Hope [you] Feel Better and A Speedy Recovery."
In a follow-up post, she revealed her condition. "Cheers to a new episode of #PumpRules starting now, at 6pm! (While I'm sick in bed, not drinking)," she wrote, adding a laughing face with tears emoji.
Lisa has not taken to her social media account to address her recent injury from the horse accident.
