AceShowbiz - Ari Lennox has found support in her fans. After the "Pressure" singer got called out by critics for boasting about her trip to Ghana, her online devotees were quick to come to her defense.
In now-deleted tweets, the 30-year-old gushed how she was moved by her experience there. "Yea Ghana is the most beautiful country in the world," she wrote last week during her trip there for a performance.
"I'll never forget suddenly crying the first time going to a beach in Ghana. It was so triggering. And I didn't feel alone. My heart ached/aches for my ancestors," the musician went on gushing. "It was a surreal experience."
In a separate post, Ari raved, "Wow it's a rare and good feeling to consistently wake u with peace and happiness." She continued, "I really owe that to Ghana."
Some people, however, were not amused by Ari's unharmful tweets. "Are your ancestors even from Ghana?" one Twitter user asked, with another writing, "I'm back again this woman thinks she's in wakanda this is too cornyyy omg."
The criticism forced Ari to delete her tweets, prompting fans to fire back at the trolls. "We can never fix the country if we don't fix ourselves. You guys are just a bunch of bitter retards with internet bundle. How the hell you go bully Ari Lennox to the point she delete every trace of her visit. Are you people mad?!!! Is she cause of the problems in this country?" one user argued.
Quote-retweeting the post, someone said, "We're our own enemies. Ari Lennox doesn't deserve this." The individual further fumed, "A bunch of bitter / ungrateful idiots trying to tarnish the image of the country all because of clout... FIX YOUR STUPIDITY."
Ari herself has responded why she deleted her tweets. After a fan asked, "Why did you delete that tweet Queen?? It was so refreshing to see," she replied, "I don't like being the mod for any type of divisiveness. Honestly I'm over twitter."
