Billie Eilish and Kanye West to Headline Coachella, Travis Scott Bumped Off From Lineup

The 'Happier Than Ever' hitmaker and the 'Flashing Lights' rapper will likely take the stage at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California alongside Swedish House Mafia.

AceShowbiz - Billie Eilish and Kanye West are in talks to headline the 2022 Coachella festival. On the other hand, Travis Scott (II) was reportedly removed from the lineup following the deadly Astroworld Festival in Houston that caused ten people killed.

Sources spilled to Variety that the 20-year-old chart-topping artist and the "Flashing Lights" hitmaker have filled the remaining headlining slots for the largest music festival. A separate insider confirmed to TMZ that the "Happier Than Ever" hitmaker has "signed on as one of the event's big names for 2022."

Swedish House Mafia, who announced their return to music a few months ago, is also reported to be taking the stage. However, it's unclear whether the supergroup is the festival's third headliner.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which is already sold out, is scheduled to take place over the weekends of April 15-17 and April 22-24, 2022. The festival, as usual, will take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Colorado Desert's Coachella Valley.

However, the alarming Omicron surge and the postponement of the Grammy Awards this week have many wondering whether the festival will still be held in April or be moved, for a fifth time, to a later date. An announcement of the exact date and confirmed performers is expected in the coming days.

As for Travis, it's reported that his agent was desperate to keep his headlining slot at Coachella after he was dropped by organizers amid backlash following the mass casualty at his Astroworld concert in November. The "SICKO MODE" rapper was even willing to perform at one of the biggest music festivities in the U.S. without getting paid at all.

The decision to cancel Travis as one of 2022 Coachella headliners came after his first interview sparked backlash from the victims' families. Following his tell-all sit-down, the 30-year-old hip-hop artist was slammed for causing the families more pain and accused of trying to shift blame to someone else.

In addition, an online petition to remove the hip-hop artist from Coachella started in November shortly after his Astroworld concert. The campaign has since raised over 60,000 signatures on

Not stopping there, Travis' lucrative deals with the likes of Nike and Dior were also getting postponed. Meanwhile, Anheuser-Busch, a beverage company that partnered with the rap star for popular Cacti drink, officially confirmed they ended their collaboration.
