AceShowbiz - Jordan Fisher is capping off 2021 in a celebratory mood. The former "Dancing with the Stars" winner has revealed that he is going to become a father next year as his wife is currently pregnant with their first child.
The actor shared the good news on Tuesday, December 14 via Instagram. In a sweet video, the 27-year-old was brought to tears as his wife Ellie Woods surprised him with a positive pregnancy test in the pocket of his jacket.
Under the instructions of his wife, Jordan closed his eyes while she helped him put on a jacket. She then told him to stick his hand in his pocket. "Now, do me a favor and put your hands in your pockets," she told him.
Once he did, he realized what's inside and his expression showed genuine shock as well as pure joy. He burst into happy tears as he hugged his pregnant wife.
In separate footage, Ellie also cried tears of joy as she learned that she's pregnant, seemingly before she shared the news with her husband. Tears streamed down her face as she showed her positive test result.
Next, the couple revealed the sex of their baby to family members. Via video call, they asked their loved ones to take a bite out of a cupcake and blue frosting was revealed. "It's a boy!" Jordan exclaimed.
"and the journey begins…we can't wait to meet you," he captioned the video. He was then showered with congratulatory messages from his friends and followers, including "Glee" alum Jenna Ushkowitz who wrote, "Congrats congrats congrats!!!!!"
Actor Roman Wellington Banks commented, "JORDAN OH MY GOSH CONGRATS." Jordan's former "DWTS" partner Lindsay Arnold chimed in, "OH MY GOODNESS I am so happy for you!!!!!" Singer Jojo added, "OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG ITS A BOY OMG!!!!"
The baby news comes just a little over a year after Jordan and Ellie tied the knot in a fairytale wedding. They wed at the stroke of midnight on November 21, 2020 at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park in Florida.
"We chose to do the Disney Fairy Tale wedding because, one, we love Disney. We always have," Ellie said in a Disney Parks video. "This is where Jordan first told me that he loved me. It's just always been such a magical part of our lives."
