AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion had such a celebratory weekend. Just one day after she celebrated her college graduation, the "WAP" hitmaker was honored with the 18th Congressional District Humanitarian Award in Texas.

The femcee accepted the award from Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee at a Sunday afternoon, December 12 ceremony. "This award has not been given out often, or to many," Sheila first said. "That is why it remains a special part in our congressional district."

"The district has almost 1 million people. When this award is given, it has that special promise and special history," Sheila added. She also noted that the award aims to recognize outstanding public achievements by the people who live in the 18th Congressional district.

In her acceptance speech, Megan gushed, "Thank you so much. I'm so honored." She went on to rave, "It's my responsibility to take care of the city that took care of me. My grandma always taught me to be kind and giving. I learned that from her."

"I was raised by very giving women," the Grammy-winning artist further shared. "So I want to dedicate this award to my grandma because she taught me to be the woman I am today."

Just one day earlier, Megan officially graduated from Texas Southern University with a bachelor of science degree in health administration. Documenting the special moment on Instagram, she shared pictures of herself in a black graduation gown and a video of her receiving her diploma.

"Meg Thee Graduate," the 26-year-old proudly declared in the caption of the post. "I know my parents are looking down on me so proud. Thank you everyone for all the love today."

Many have since congratulated Megan for her achievement. Among celebrities who cheered her was fellow musician Ciara, who commented, "Proud of you Meg! Way to get it done! You're inspiring so many." Cardi B added, "I know your momma proud of you. You got people emotional over here."
