AceShowbiz - Usher and T-Pain have finally squashed their beef. After the former judge of "The Voice" apologized to the "Bartender" rapper onstage over his "f**ked up music" remarks, the two musicians embraced each other.
Usher and T-Pain reunited during an event for Dave Chappelle's new documentary in Atlanta on Sunday, November 21. In a clip surfacing online, the latter was heard telling his pal, "I love you, bro. I'm telling you, we ain't going through nothing, bro. We ain't going through a goddamn thing. It's all love."
"In times when we're divided the most, we need to be together the most. I love you, bro. I'm never not gonna love you, bro, trust me. My dawg," the "Lottery" spitter added. He then hugged the "Yeah!" hitmaker, prompting the audience to cheer in excitement.
The reconciliation arrived months after T-Pain got candid about his four-year battle with depression due to Usher's comments. When appearing on Netflix's "This Is Pop", the former said the conversation took place when he took a flight around the BET Awards back in 2013.
"Usher was my friend," the emcee, born Faheem Rasheed Najm, shared. "I really respect Usher. And he said, 'I'm gonna tell you something, man. You kinda f**ked up music.' "
" 'Yeah man you really f**ked up music for real singers,' " he went on recalling. "I was like, 'What did I do? I came out and I used Auto-Tune.' He was like, 'Yeah, you f**ked it up.' I'm like, 'But I used it, I didn't tell everybody else to start using it.' "
T-Pain has since doubted himself. "I didn't understand. Usher was my friend... Did I f**k up music? And that is the very moment--and I don't think I realized this for a long time--that's the very moment that started a four-year depression for me," he explained.
