AceShowbiz - Young Dolph's girlfriend Mia Jaye has broken her silence on his tragic passing. One day after the rapper died at 36 years old in a shooting, the entrepreneur has taken to Instagram to express her grief.
Mia, who ironically launched the "Black Men Deserve to Grow Old" campaign last August, wrote on her Story on Thursday, November 18, "Thank you to everyone for all of your prayers, love, support, calls, messages…"
Insinuating that she has been crying a lot, the mother of two continued, "I may not see them all but when my eyes are not full of tears, I catch a few… Nonetheless, all the genuine positive vibes, energy and prayers are welcome… because Lord knows I need them…"
In a follow-up Story, Mia shared her prayer, "God give me strength." She also declared her love for Dolph, whose real name was Adolph Robert Thornton Jr., as writing, "Adolph I love you with all my heart and soul."
The CEO of Momeo also posted a throwback video of Dolph coaching his daughter during a late-night exercise. She lamented in the caption, "Question is… How am I going to tell to my babies that daddy is never coming home? #prayforme."
Dolph and Mia had been in a longtime relationship, but they were not married at the time of his death. They shared two children together, a 7-year-old daughter named Tre and a 4-year-old son named Ari.
Dolph was shot and killed on Wednesday, November 17 in Memphis while he was shopping inside a cookie store. He was in town to hold his annual Thanksgiving giveaway, where he would hand out two hundred turkeys to individuals in his old neighborhood, which was scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. He was going to head to the event after visiting the cookie store.
Police are still searching for two suspects, whose photos have been released to public. The two gunmen ran away in a white Mercedes Benz.
