The new episode of the hit comedy show also sees James Austin Johnson making a debut of his Donald Trump impersonation, which earns him praises from viewers.

AceShowbiz - In the new episode of "Saturday Night Live", cast members tackled Aaron Rodgers' COVID-19 controversy. In the outing, which aired on Saturday, November 6, Pete Davidson transformed into the Green Bay Packers quarterback, who was accused of lying about his COVID-19 vaccine status.

In the skit, Pete's Aaron was being interviewed by Fox News' Judge Jeanine Pirro (Cecily Strong). "Now, Aaron, you're not vaccinated. So what? Who the hell cares? It's your body, your choice. And please never use that quote for any other issue," she said. To that, the athlete replied, "Exactly, Jeanine, it's my body and my COVID. ... I can give it to whoever I want. But suddenly the woke mob is coming after me."

"And straight talk, Aaron, because I never talk gay. Did you ever lie about being vaccinated?" Cecily's Jeanine further questioned. "I never lied. I took all my teammates into a huddle, got all their faces three inches away from my wet mouth and told them, 'Trust me, I'm more or less immunized. Go team!' " Pete's Aaron answered. "People can talk all they want, but at the end of the day, my record is still 7-1, meaning of the eight people I've infected, seven are fine."

Aaron, who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week, faced backlash after it was revealed that he wasn't actually vaccinated despited claiming that he'd "been immunized" in a press question. According to reports, the football star could face fines but likely no suspension if he is found to have violated COVID protocols.

Back to "SNL", the episode also saw James Austin Johnson making a debut of his Donald Trump impersonation. Viewers were loving his take on the former U.S. president as one of them said, "James Austin Johnson came to SNL known for his Trump impression, and he's showing why in this Cold Open #SNL."

"Whoever is playing Trump on #SNL this season is doing incredible," someone else added. Another comment read, "I don't know who is doing the Trump impersonation on SNL but it's by far the best that I've seen."
