The 'Shape of You' hitmaker talks about making love 'in the sky' and around the world on one of the new tracks lifted from his upcoming studio installment.

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran "made love in the sky (and) missed the Northern Lights," according to a track on his new album.

The singer-songwriter released his latest LP "=" (Equals) on Friday (29Oct21) and, on new track "Collide", he sings about joining the mile high club with his wife Cherry Seaborn.

"We made love in the sky, overslept and missed the Northern Lights," he sings on the track before later admitting to similar antics in Japan.

He adds, "We've watched the blossom fall to earth like snow, fumbled in cubicles in Tokyo."

The "Bad Habits" hitmaker and his wife welcomed their daughter Lyra last August (20) and Ed recently admitted that becoming a parent was the jumpstart he needed to reevaluate his life.

"Since becoming a dad I've become quite clean-living," he told Britain's The Sun newspaper. "But I think actually taking time off and not being on tour was the worst thing for my health because I would drink every single day."

"I stopped three months before Lyra was born because I was determined I was going to be the person to drive my wife to the hospital."

The singer and his baby daughter were recently diagnosed with Covid-19. "I'm self-isolating with my daughter," he said. "I have been alone with her, without my wife, since we are both positive. I am now going to spend 10 days alone with her."

The musician has since recovered. "The beginning of the week was pretty gnarly but I just drunk a lot of water and slept a lot and had all the vitamins that the doctor told me to have," he opened up.
