The 'Don't Start Now' hitmaker has distanced herself from the 'Rockstar' rapper after he went on a rant against gay men and people with AIDS at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, Florida.

AceShowbiz - Dua Lipa has opted not submit her hit "Levitating" remix for 2022 Grammy consideration because it features controversial rapper DaBaby, according to reports.

The song - from Dua's 2020 album "Future Nostalgia" - would have been eligible for awards at the ceremony in January 2022, because it had a major impact on charts this year - and because it was a new remix, with DaBaby as a featured artist.

However, after the rapper went on a rant against gay men and people with AIDS at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, Florida in July 2021, Dua Lipa distanced herself from him, saying she was "surprised" and "horrified" by his remarks.

"I really don't recognize this as the person I worked with," she wrote after fans petitioned for her to remove the rapper from her track. "I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGBTQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS."

The British singer still has a shot at being nominated for a Grammy for her guest spot on Pop Smoke's track "Demeanor". Nominations for the 2022 Grammy Awards will be announced on November 23, 2021.

DaBaby drew ire from gay rights activists and followers after telling the crowd at the Rolling Loud Festival, "If you didn't show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that'll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up! Fellas, if you ain't sucking d**k in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up!"
