AceShowbiz - Jim Caviezel has stunned Hollywood colleagues and fans by appearing at a QAnon event over the weekend (22-24Oct21) and predicting a "storm" is coming.

The actor, who is known for his conservative views, appeared at the four-day event in Las Vegas, run by the movement's leaders, who believe the anonymous prophet Q's claims that a cabal of Satanic, cannibalistic paedophiles operate a global child sex trafficking ring and conspired against former president Donald Trump during his term in office.

Jim starred as Jesus in Mel Gibson's 2004 epic "The Passion of the Christ", and quoted from Mel's film "Braveheart" at the For God & Country: Patriot Double Down gathering.

In the speech, which was captured in a now-viral video, Caviezel quotes lines from the 1995 film in which Mel plays Scottish martyr William Wallace, including, "Every man dies, not every man truly lives" and the most famous part of Gibson's battle cry, "You can take our lives, but you can never take our freedom!"

The clip shows a large crowd cheering before Jim says, "We are headed into the storm of all storms. Yes, the Storm is upon us."

According to Yahoo, "The Storm" references a hypothetical event cited by QAnon supporters when Trump will supposedly arrest the members of the Satanic cabal.

"The Count of Monte Cristo" star continues in the footage, "By God, we must live and with the Holy Spirit as your shield and Christ as your sword may you join Saint Michael and all the other angels in defending God and sending Lucifer and his henchmen straight back to hell where they belong."

And Caviezel's industry pals and former co-stars are puzzled by his event appearance, including "Thin Red Line" co-star Kirk Acevedo, who wonders "what happened" to his friend.

"Can we be so different after all these years? We jogged together, we played basketball together, we worked together in Film & TV. NOW I'm a henchman in Lucifers Army (sic)? Your words are dangerous & filled with hate. What happened my friend?" he writes in a tweet.

"The Handmaid's Tale" star Bradley Whitford has also weighed in on Twitter, penning, "Another example of the fact that the only religious voices we hear are voices of condemnation and exclusion. Caviezal (sic) embodies the Right's perverse weaponization of the inversion of the values of Jesus Christ. There is no love in it. Only hatred and the threat of violence."

And it's not the first time Jim has appeared at a controversial event this year (21).

In April, he attended the Health and Freedom Conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma that ended with the public burning of COVID-19 masks.
