The 'Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang' hitmaker has been married to Nicole Young for 24 years before she filed for divorce in June 2020 with an initial request of $1.9 million per-month in spousal support.

AceShowbiz - Rap star Dr. Dre has reportedly refused to accept divorce papers from his estranged wife, Nicole Young, after process servers attempted to deliver the documents at his grandmother's funeral.

TMZ reports the music mogul would not sign for the legal brief at the funeral on Monday, October 18 in Los Angeles, and it was left on the ground.

The "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang" hitmaker's parents split up when he was a boy and he was largely brought up by his late grandmother, according to the Daily Mail.

Last month (September 2021), the former N.W.A star was ordered to pay an extra $1.55 million (£1.12 million) in attorney fees to Nicole.

A judge also ordered Dre, real name Andre Young, to keep up the previously mandated payment of nearly $300,000 (£217,000)-per-month in spousal support to his ex, as well as footing the bill for her health insurance.

Nicole, who filed for divorce in June 2020 after 24 years of marriage, initially requested $1.9 million (£1.4 million) per month.

Their divorce only turned uglier as Dre is now suing his ex-wife for allegedly embezzling money from his recording to studio business. In legal documents obtained by The Blast in September, the music executive and his advisors are accusing Nicole of "stealing" money from the accounts of Recording One studio in Sherman Oaks.

The documents state that Dre and his ex-wife were listed on the business to be involved in "maintenance and control" of its assets, so Nicole was entrusted with the authority to withdraw checks and transfer funds for the business. However, Nicole allegedly "decimated" the bank account and withdrew $353,571.85 during the time they started their divorce proceedings. She has since been removed from the business trust.
