That Girl Lay Lay claims that the reality TV star texted her demanding she take down her TikTok video featuring Kim's 6-year-old daughter without an explanation.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian has apparently come into a conflict with a young star. The reality TV star has been called out by a 14-year-old rapper named That Girl Lay Lay for trying to have her video featuring North West removed.

It all began after That Girl Lay Lay, whose real name is Alaya High, posted on her TikTok account a video which included throwback footage when she hung out with North while the young rapper laid down one of her tracks. After it was uploaded, Kim texted the teen to have the clip deleted from her page without an explanation.

"@kimkardashian texted me to take down the new TikTok video with North in it…," That Girl Lay Lay wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post. She went on complaining, "I don't know why… they invited ME to their house…this industry sucks!"

Claiming that she was "confused" with Kim's request, the young rapper added, "I asked what did I do wrong and they didn't answer me…so confused on what this industry is….just trying to make good positive music for the #nevergive up."

A representative for That Girl Lay Lay additionally told TMZ that she feels hurt and wants Kim to let her repost the video because she doesn't think there's any good reason to take it down.

According to the site, the star's father asked Kim and Kanye West months ago for permission to use the footage featuring their daughter North, but hadn't heard back by July. They proceeded to post the video anyway, believing that it would not be a problem because they had approved another video in the past.

Meanwhile, a source close to Kim and Kanye insisted the parents never gave permission for their 6-year-old daughter to be featured in the music video. They additionally took issue with the video because they believe That Girl Lay Lay's team used the old footage of North for publicity.

"Lay Lay's dad refuses to release the music video without footage of North because he is clearly trying to use her image as a source of publicity," the source explained, "which is why North's parents have an issue to begin with."

The source went on arguing, "It's a matter of principle at this point and the answer is still no. He cannot use footage that was filmed of North taken inside her home during what should have been an innocent child's play date for commercial purposes."

Moreover, it's said that instead of Kim herself, it was Tracy Romulus, the 40-year-old's friend and the CMO of KKW Brands, who texted the young rapper to take down the video.

The footage in question was first posted on That Girl Lay Lay's Instagram page in March 2020.
