AceShowbiz - Dierks Bentley's 2021 Seven Peaks Music Festival has been canceled due to capacity restrictions.

The event was scheduled for Labor Day weekend (September 3 to 5) in Buena Vista, Colorado but new guidelines put in place by local health officials mean the festival will be tough to stage, and Bentley has decided to pull the plug.

"We are already planning for 2022, and a new location will be announced in the coming months," a statement from Dierks reads.

"I really could not be more bummed out about it. Really appreciate you guys hanging in there with us through the ups and downs of COVID. Together we built something very special, and it's going to be a big celebration when our 7P family is together again."

Bentley staged his first Seven Peaks Music Festival in 2018. The event was canceled in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In another story, Bentley made his performance at Chicago's Windy City Smokeout on Saturday, July 10 a family affair. He was joined by 12-year-old daughter Evelyn Day to deliver a rendition of "Different for Girls".

The 45-year-old crooner shared the experience via Instagram. "Hard to put into words how much we've missed this as a band and crew… thanks for coming out Chicago. You were legendary," he wrote alongside photos from his performance. "Just a few more weeks until the #BeersOnMe tour kicks off."

Bentley was referring to his 2021 "Beers on Me Tour" in the social media post. The trek will be kicked off on August 13 in Salt Lake City and run through October 22.
