AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle may reunite with the royal family later this year. The former actress reportedly may join Prince Harry when he returns to the U.K. in the fall, several months after he flew across the pond to unveil a new statue of Princess Diana.
The event, which was held on the late Princess of Wales' supposed 60th birthday, was meant to be attended by up to 100 guests but had to be scaled down due to COVID. According to the Daily Mail, Kensington Palace is planning to hold another larger event to honor Diana in September.
Per the site's report, Harry could attend the event with his wife Meghan, though some sources acknowledge that the trip may be scheduled too soon for the Duchess of Sussex after the birth of the couple's second child, Lilibet Diana.
Royal sources seem hopeful that the September event could be the right time for peace talks between Harry and his brother Prince William, who reportedly have been having a tense relationship following Harry and Meghan's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
"It is a step forward but this was not the time or the place," a source told The Sun of Harry's recent return to the U.K. "September is a date pencilled in for a more extensive celebration of the statue, and Harry will want to return."
Harry flew back to the U.K. last week to take part in the unveiling of his mother's memorial alongside his brother William. However, they reportedly barely had time to address the ongoing row. Following a brief reception at Kensington Palace, the 36-year-old father of two returned to Frogmore Cottage, Windsor where he had been staying before heading off to the airport.
It's believed that Harry was rushing back to the states after learning of the news of the death of Meghan's uncle Michael Markle. The 82-year-old brother of Meghan's father Thomas Markle, who reportedly went by Mike, died following a battle with Parkinson's disease.
