The 'Aquaman' actress has shocked her online devotees as she introduces newborn daughter on Instagram after quietly welcoming her first child via surrogacy.

AceShowbiz - Actress Amber Heard has stunned fans by welcoming a baby girl via a surrogate.
The "Aquaman" star broke the news to her Instagram followers on Thursday (01Jul21), revealing her journey to motherhood has been in the works for a few years.
Alongside a photo of herself cradling the tot on her chest, the new mum wrote, "I'm so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms."
"I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it's normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib."
"A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone's business," she continued. "I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this."
"My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She's the beginning of the rest of my life."
The little girl's middle name is a tribute to Amber's late mother, Paige.
According to the New York Post's Page Six, the actress, who has yet to share details about her baby's father, began looking into surrogacy after learning she wouldn't be able to carry her own child.
Amber was previously married to Johnny Depp from 2015 until their messy 2017 divorce, during which she accused him of abuse - allegations he has denied. She was subsequently linked to tech mogul Elon Musk.
