AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift has given her mom a sweet shout-out for her latest achievement. Upon learning that she won Best Family Feature at the 2021 CMT Music Awards in Nashville, the "Cardigan" songstress took to social media to send a loving message to Andrea Swift.
Making use of Twitter on Wednesday, June 9, the 31-year-old hitmaker retweeted CMT's announcement, saying that she won the award for her song and music video "The Best Day (Taylor's Version)". In the accompanying message, she simply exclaimed, "I LOVE YOU MOM."
Taylor has since received congratulatory comments from her fans. One user raved, "hey queen congratulations and i love you so much." Another added, "So happy this beautiful song is being recognized! Its always been such a sentimental one for me. You write so beautifully about the people you love and this is an example of that."
Aside from Taylor, other finalists in the Best Family Feature category were Brooke Eden ("Sunroof"), Kane Brown ("Worship You") and Luke Combs ("Forever After All"). Miranda Lambert's "Settling Down" and Russell Dickerson's "Home Sweet" were also included in the category.
"The Best Day (Taylor's Version)" music video, which was released in April, displays various moments of the 11-time Grammy winner's life with her sweet family. Although her mom Andrea is featured in many of the clips, her father Scott Swift and brother Austin Swift also make appearances in the footage.
Taylor has never been hesitant in expressing her love for her mother, who has battled cancer and a brain tumor. When celebrating Mother's Day in May 2020, she penned on Twitter, "My conversations with my mom have always been and will always be some of my favorite memories - from when I was 10 months old in this video from Oct. 1990 to now talking every day on the phone. Our talks are everything to me. Myyyyyy goodness I love you Mom."
