The 'Pitch Perfect' actress wishes she had lost weight sooner now that she sheds more than 60 pounds following her weight loss journey last year amid pandemic.

AceShowbiz - "Pitch Perfect" star Rebel Wilson lost a lot of weight last year, but wishes she'd done it sooner.

The "Isn't It Romantic" actress shed more than 60 pounds (27 kilograms) in 2020, but now regrets not taking the steps to slim down when she was younger.

She told InStyle magazine, "Now that I know I can do it, sometimes I feel sad that I didn't do it earlier. Maybe I should have tried when I was 30, not 40."

"I've always been a bit of a late developer. I started acting when I was turning 19, which is quite late. And when I came to America as an actress, I was almost 30, which again, is quite late. So I try not to compare myself to other people."

The actress has "natural empathy" for anyone struggling with weight loss, and shared some easy tips for anyone who wants to lose a few pounds.

"Obviously, I have access to some amazing high-tech treatments, but what I learned is, it's really the little things that I do every day that make a difference," she added. "Like today, I went for a walk at Griffith Park (in Los Angeles) and that's free. Anyone can go on walks and drink more water and do little, consistent things that'll improve their lives. It's not too late to start, no matter what age you are."

Wilson has been sharing photos of her weight loss on Instagram.

She, however, admitted in a recent interview she still got tempted by "old habits" despite trying to be as healthy as possible.

"It's been like, what, 19 months now?" she mused. "What the pandemic taught so many people is that your health is really the most important thing. I get tempted by old habits, like just eating chocolate in the bathtub, so, it's just a journey. Like, no one is perfect... I just try to have consistency in my workouts and in what I eat about 90 per cent of the time."
