'We've got photographs over a lifespan of us together,' Samantha Markle says in a new interview in response to the Duchess of Sussex's remarks in her sit-down with Oprah Winfrey.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle's half-sister has been left baffled by her statement about their relationship. Shortly after Oprah Winfrey's interview with the Duchess of Sussex was aired, Samantha Markle broke her silence over the former's claims that the two of them do not know each other.

The 56-year-old shared her response when speaking to Inside Edition on Monday, March 8. "The truth was totally ignored and omitted... I don't know how she can say I don't know her and she was an only child," she argued. "We've got photographs over a lifespan of us together. So how can she not know me?"

In the interview, Samantha unveiled photos of her with her sibling taken throughout the years. One of them was said to be taken 13 years ago at her college graduation in 2008. She additionally denied Meghan's statement about her changing her last name back to Markle after the "Suits" alum began dating Prince Harry.

"I was a Markle before she was," Samantha insisted. "I thought that was kind of weird that she would say I only changed my name back when she met Harry. Markle has always been my name."

Samantha also made it clear that she did not have any sympathy for Meghan, who admitted to contemplating suicide while living with British royals. "Depression is not an excuse for treating people like dishrags and disposing of them," she shared.

Samantha made the revelation after Meghan opened up about their relationship in her sit-down with Oprah. "I think it would be hard to 'tell all' when you don't know me. I grew up as an only child… The last time I saw her must have been at least 18, 19 years ago, and before then, 10 years before that," she divulged.

Meghan also accused Samantha of changing "her last name back to Markle in her early 50s... only when I started dating Harry." She then concluded, "I think that says enough."
