The former host of 'The Biggest Loser' left the daytime soap's cast ensemble in 2014 after 21 years but she has made several guest appearances on the series since 2017.

AceShowbiz - Actress Alison Sweeney is set to revive her Sami Brady character on long-running U.S. daytime soap "Days of Our Lives".

The star left the cast in 2014 after 21 years on the series but she has made several guest appearances since 2017. Now Sweeney will be appearing on the show full-time when the drama starts shooting again next month, after production was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic in March.

"It is always a beautiful day in Salem when we get to welcome Alison Sweeney back to the canvas," the show's executive producer Ken Corday tells Deadline. "Sami Brady is an integral part of our show's history and we are elated that she's coming home again."

NBC renewed "Days of Our Lives" for a 56th season earlier this year.
