The former 'Fashion Police' star is open about undergoing gastric bypass surgery to help her lose weight, calling the procedure the best thing she's ever done.

AceShowbiz - TV personality Kelly Osbourne underwent gastric bypass surgery two years before her dramatic 85 pound (38 kilogram) weight loss.

The star has revealed the procedure was a big part of her slim down, insisting she would never lie about how she achieved her new slender frame.

"I had surgery," she said during an interview on "Hollywood Raw" with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn. "I don't give a f**k what anyone has to say. I did it, I'm proud of it, they can suck s**t. I did the gastric sleeve."

The 35 year old added, "All it does is change the shape of your stomach. I got that almost two years ago... It is the best thing I have ever done."

And Kelly admits it took a lot more than surgery to lose the weight, "If you don't work out and you don't eat right, you gain weight. All it does is move you in the right direction. So, anyone who's thinking of doing something like this, really think about that."

"I had to do a year of stand-alone therapy to prepare myself for the surgery before I even had it. What people don't realise is it cuts out this hormone that if you have addiction issues, it stops your craving, and it makes you not emotionally eat, which is a huge problem for me. I was sober before, it did help, I don't crave alcohol at all anymore. All it is is a push in the right direction. It doesn’t solve all your problems. It's not a quick fix."

The star also opened up about her battle with temporomandibular joint dysfunction, revealing she had that addressed too.

"I had really bad TMJ," she shared. "One of the things they did to stop it was they gave me injections in my jaw. It kinda made my jaw look skinnier."

But Ozzy Osbourne's daughter is keen for fans to note she hasn't spent the past two years focusing on her appearance alone, adding she has also been working hard on her mental health.

"The number one thing I had to do was get happy," she explained. "I had to fix my head before I could fix my body. You can never go into this if you're not in a good mindset."
