Rickey Smiley's Daughter Is Awake After Surgery, Shares Bloody Picture of Shooting Scene

Also sharing pictures from the hospital, Aaryn Smiley reveals the 'scariest part of all of this is the fact that I'm alone,' and the odd chance that has let her survive.

AceShowbiz - Rickey Smiley's daughter is awake after her surgery following a shooting incident. Aaryn Smiley, who was one of the victims caught in a crossfire at 6898 South Freeway in Houston on Sunday night, July 5, has spoken up about the harrowing incident while giving an update from the hospital.

On late Monday, July 6, Aaryn posted on her Instagram Stories an inside picture of the car where she was sitting on when the bullets hit her. She appeared to have lost a lot of blood as the seat was covered in blood and so was the carpet of the car.

"This is the most terrifying thing that has ever happened to me," she wrote over the photo. Revealing that the injuries have affected her motor function, she shared, "I won't be out of the hospital for a while nor will I be able to walk for a while due to nerve damage. I'm so sorry if I can't respond to everyone but please know I'm thankful for all of the messages."

And that's not all. In another post featuring a picture of what looks like a white blanket likely taken from her hospital room, she confided that the "scariest part of all of this is the fact that I'm alone," because she can't be visited by her parents or any other relatives and friends due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "I'm terrified," she admitted.

Still, Aaryn is grateful for the odd chance that has let her survive. "the fact that the bullets that went thru my legs were armored riffle bullets made to go through anything (how they got through the car) but the one tht would have hit me in the head was not that kind and ended up lodged in the car," she detailed, "God. Words can't describe how grateful I am to be alive right now."

Aaryn was out to grab some burgers when the shooting happened. According to Rickey, his daughter was shot three times during the incident. "I wasn't even going to say anything about this. I've been dealing with this all morning, sitting up here with butterflies in my stomach trying to do the show. My youngest daughter was shot last night," he said. "She's in the hospital right now… I'm just so angry."

In another video, the comedian broke down in tears while packing to go to Houston. "Daughter in surgery, can't even get to her, I don't know what to do," he said. "We got to stop gun violence, parents shouldn't have to go through this. My daughter ain't in no gang, she didn't do nothing wrong, she ain't bother nobody."

Hours later, he updated his fans with some good news. "My daughter made it out of her operation. She's doing great!! Thank you for your prayers!!!" he said on Instagram.
