In an Instagram post, Samantha Katie James, who was crowned as Miss Universe Malaysia back in 2017, shares a message to the black people, telling them to 'accept it as it is' because 'it's inevitable.'

AceShowbiz - Samantha Katie James, who was crowned as Miss Universe Malaysia back in 2017, enraged people with her recent Instagram post about the recent issue following the death of George Floyd. In the Monday, June 1 post, Samantha shared a message to the black people, telling them to "relax."

"Relax, take it as a challenge, makes you stronger," she wrote. "You chose to be born as a 'colored' person in America for a reason. To learn a certain lesson."

"Accept it as it is, till now hunger and poverty still exists. It is what is it is. It's inevitable. Best you can do is remain calm, protect heart, dont allow it to crumble. That's your responsibility," she went on writing. "Of course this is to the ones who understand this level and state of mind. Not for everyone. Everyone grows at a different rate."

Unsurprisingly, many people on Internet came at James for her statements. "Take her crown back," one person demanded. " 'Take it as a challenge...' this is just too ignorant to properly address. I can't get pass the first part," another one added, with someone else writing, "Revoke her title. NEOW."

In response to the outrage, Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (MUMO) issued a statement to denounce James' opinion on the matter, calling it "inappropriate, offensive, unacceptable and hurtful." The statement continued, "The views expressed on Samantha's personal Instagram account are her own personal views and are neither the view nor position of MUMO. Samantha James is not contracted to MUMO and has not represented the organization since June 2018."

"MUMO stands for a non-racial society and strongly condemns all acts of racism and prejudice anywhere in the world," it concluded.
