The 'Jolene' hitmaker dishes out dating advice to 'Love Island' alum Amber Davies when inviting the U.K. reality star to the States, telling the young star to put career before romance.

AceShowbiz - U.K. reality TV star Amber Davies may have started her career looking for Mr. Right on matchmaking show "Love Island" - but a stern talking to from Dolly Parton has put her off men for life.

After cementing her place in the public eye on the 2017 season of the show, which sees a group of single people enter a villa in Mallorca in a bid to find the perfect match, Amber embarked on a successful acting career in London's West End.

She won her first major role in musical "9 to 5", based on Dolly's catalogue of hits, and she told Britain's The Sun newspaper the country icon dished out dating advice after inviting Amber to the U.S. to meet her.

"I'm still a party girl at heart, but I've realised it's not my time for a man," the 22 year old said. "I honestly don't know what I'd do with one at the moment."

She continued, "I've been fortunate enough to pick up roles in the West End and I hope that's going to be a platform for more acting, so my mentality has had to change."

Despite previously being linked to stars including former One Direction singer Liam Payne, Amber insisted the only male in her life is her puppy Oreo, and that she's "too cold" to respond to the countless men who message her on social media.

"It was actually Dolly Parton who first gave me the advice," Amber confessed. "I always thought I'd be settling down by now, but I went out to meet her and she warned me to avoid the temptation of romance for now and focus on my career."

"She said, 'Career first, men can wait for you,' and it turns out she was completely right," the star smiled. "I've been able to get my first steps towards my dream and I'm determined that nothing will get in the way of that."
