AceShowbiz - NFL (National Football League) quarterback Tarvaris Jackson has died in a car crash.
According to TMZ, the 36 year old was involved in a collision in his hometown of Alabama.
Jackson played 10 seasons in the NFL, including stints as the starter for the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks. He spent five seasons with the Vikings, who drafted him in the second round out of Alabama State University in 2006.
Tarvaris helped lead Minnesota to the NFC (National Football Conference) North title in 2008. Vikings head coach Brad Childress notably called him a "diamond in the rough."
The sportsman spent four years in Minnesota before signing with the Seattle Seahawks, transitioning to the Buffalo Bills, then returning for a second stint with the Seahawks, where he served as Russell Wilson's backup until 2015.
Following his retirement, Jackson began his coaching career, where he first worked as a graduate assistant at Alabama State University, before landing the quarterback coach job at Tennessee State University.
