Milo, the pint-sized rescue pet of the 'Riverdale' actress, has suffered some serious injuries after the pooch was attacked by another much bigger dog recently.

AceShowbiz - Lili Reinhart's beloved dog Milo is "okay" and recovering from surgery after being attacked by a dog 10 times his size.

The 23-year-old "Riverdale" actress stepped out of coronavirus isolation to walk her pup on Friday, April 10, 2020, but the trip descended into chaos when Milo was attacked by another hound.

In a heartbreaking video posted on her instagram page, Lili explained that she "was taking him out today to get some exercise... He was attacked by another dog and it was pretty bad so I had to rush him to the animal hospital and he's there now getting surgery."

She added, "He has a pretty deep wound in his neck. It was a very horrifying experience. I'll keep you guys updated on how he's doing but keep him in your thoughts guys, please."

The star updated fans about her dogs condition through her Instagram stories on Saturday and, thanked them for the "outpouring of love," revealing, "He's okay, he's home with me. He had surgery, he had a big wound on his head so part of his head is shaved. And he has a little puncture wound (under his jaw) that's stitched up. He's on pain meds to help because you can tell he's quite uncomfortable with the stitches."

Thanking fans for their continued support, Lili added, "I can honestly say it was the most terrifying thing I have ever experienced. I keep having flashbacks of that entire situation and how traumatising it was for him and me."

The screen star rescued the Miniature Schnauzer mix from the Furever Freed Dog Rescue in British Columbia, Canada - where her hit Netflix series films.

"This is my new baby," she wrote in the caption of a picture of the pooch back in February. "He has quickly become a great love of mine. Meet Milo, my rescue sweetheart from @fureverfreed."
