AceShowbiz - It has been widely known that Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels don't maintain a good relationship following their split. Now, a new claim from a well-known industry insider has portrayed the Harajuku Barbie in the bad light as an ex-girlfriend of the "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star.
During a sit-down with comedian Godfrey, Vlad claimed that he had a chat with Safaree right after the pair's breakup. He then claimed that the "Anaconda" hitmaker is a verbally abusive partner, hinting that it's all because she's the breadwinner in her relationships. "A lot has to be said when it's the female that has control of all the money as opposed to the man," Vlad remarked.
Vlad and Godfrey also weighed in on Nicki's marriage to Kenneth Petty. Still thinking that it's not an ideal situation, Vlad claimed, Kenneth "doesn't have a job," so "his job is to have sex with Nicki Minaj." Godfrey noted that Kenneth, who is a convicted rapist, is "an artist" and "ain't no punk," so the female emcee was "challenging his manhood [and] nobody wants that kind of s**t."
Godfrey added that Kenneth probabaly doesn't have aspirations because he's with an international superstar.
Back in 2018, Nicki's ex Safaree spoke up against her, accusing the Trinidad and Tobago-born rapper of stabbing him in a domestic abuse incident. "Remember the night you cut me and I almost died the police and ambulance had to take me out the crib on a stretcher," he tweeted at the time.
On why he didn't report the incident, the Jamaican rapper claimed, "I had to lie and tell them I was trying to kill myself so they wouldn't take you to jail. When things like that start happening more than once it's time to dip." He added that he held no grudge over the issue, saying, "You know what I still don’t have no hate for you cuz I'm happy in my own mind now."
Nicki later denied it, taking to her Twitter account with her own allegations against her ex. "U stole my card & told me you thought it was an account with 'free money' that I didn't know about," so she wrote. "God will strike you down & more for lying. Ha! Stop saying u packed & left!"
