Carrie Symonds who is currently pregnant with Boris Johnson's baby has showed signs of coronavirus after the U.K. prime minister was diagnosed with Covid-19.

AceShowbiz - Boris Johnson's pregnant fiancee Carrie Symonds has "spent the past week in bed with the main symptoms of coronavirus."

Symonds, 31, took to Twitter to reveal she has been suffering from coronavirus symptoms. Her admission comes after Britain's Prime Minister was diagnosed with Covid-19 last week.

"I've spent the past week in bed with the main symptoms of coronavirus," she posted. "I haven't needed to be tested, and, after seven days of rest, I feel stronger and I'm on the mend."

She added, "Being pregnant with Covid-19 is obviously worrying. To other pregnant women, please do read and follow the most up to date guidance which I found to be v (very) reassuring."

The U.K. leader remains in isolation, after telling followers on social media on Friday he still had a fever.

Britain's health minister Nadine Dorries said she had been speaking to Symonds regularly throughout her illness, adding, "She presented with and has been through the classic signs and symptoms most people experience with #COVID19 She is now recovering and getting stronger day by day. #InThisTogether."

The environmental campaigner and former political official for the Conservative Party and Johnson announced their engagement and pregnancy back in February.

The U.K. remains on lockdown amid the global health crisis, with citizens only to go outside for shopping or to collect medicine, for one daily bout of exercise, and to travel to work if it's absolutely essential.
