Suing for copyright infringement, On The Strength Records boss Reginald Boyland claims Paul sampled his famous 1997 tune 'Hit a Muthaf**ka', which he no longer owns the rights to.

AceShowbiz - Three 6 Mafia star DJ Paul has been sued by On The Strength Records boss Reginald Boyland over Trippie Redd's track "Death".

According to TMZ, the lawsuit, Paul's second in two days, alleges "Death" sampled DJ Paul's famous 1997 tune "Hit a Muthaf**ka", which Paul no longer owns the rights to.

In the suit, Boyland says he got rights to the song in a 2015 settlement with Paul, after he sued the musician claiming "Hit a Muthaf**ka" sampled his track, "Pimps In The House".

Boyland is now calling out Trippie Redd for never getting permission from him to sample the track on "Death", and claimed he'd already informed Paul, full name Paul Duane Beauregard, and Trippie they owe him compensation.

He's suing for copyright infringement and wants a slice of the profits from Trippie's tune.

Three 6 Mafia has also been sued by a group of Memphis-based artists, who accused MCs DJ Paul and Juicy J of committing "over 150 independent acts of copyright infringement from more than 100 individual sound recordings".
