Megan Thee Stallion spoke out after her mugshot from the 2015 arrest went viral. The "Hot Summer Girl" hitmaker was arrested in Austin when she was 19 and faced assault that caused "bodily injury to a family member."
Megan took to Instagram Live to explain what really went down. She said the incident happened at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival. She confronted her boyfriend when she found out he had cheated on her and impregnated his side chick.
The boyfriend claimed it was only a one-night stand but the woman became pregnant following their hookup. Megan was furious and their argument turned physical. That's when the police arrived and took her to the slammer.
Stressing that she didn't condone any type of violence, she then revealed what happened afterwards. Embarrassingly, the only person that could bail her out was her ex. After she was released from prison, she packed her bags and moved out of his house.
The female rapper, who was linked to the likes of MoneyBagg Yo, Wiz Khalifa, Trey Songz, and G-Eazy in the past, didn't mention any names. The charges were reportedly dropped because the person she assaulted didn't show up in court.
