Opting to leave the annual London prizegiving before the final awards were handed out, the 'Queen and Slim' star likens herself to Florence Pugh in the third act of 'Midsommar'.

AceShowbiz - Pregnancy hunger forced actress Jodie Turner-Smith to cut short her stay at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) on Sunday, February 02.

The "Queen & Slim" star and her husband, former "Dawson's Creek" actor Joshua Jackson, had been among the attendees at the annual London prizegiving, where Turner-Smith served as a guest presenter, but they bowed out of the event before the final awards were handed out - because the mother-to-be needed to be fed.

Turner-Smith poked fun at her pregnancy symptoms as she posted a selfie on Twitter, showing off her growing baby bump in a yellow Gucci gown, as she likened herself to actress Florence Pugh's character in 2019 horror film "Midsommar".

"The #BAFTAs are not yet over but this pregnant lady has to leave because if I don't eat every 2.5 hrs (hours) I turn into Florence Pugh from the 3rd act of Midsommar- highly emotional & very likely to let my man get sewn into a bear costume and burnt alive," she quipped.

Jodie Turner-Smith explained why she had to leave the 2020 BAFTA Awards early.

Earlier in the evening, the Brit confessed she had almost tripped up supermodel Naomi Campbell backstage at the Royal Albert Hall, where she was preparing to present the Best Documentary award.

"i was terrified so naomi so graciously held my hand! and then my gown nearly took her down which would have been very embarrassing for me as people already think i don't care about black lives! but she didn't fall!" Turner-Smith revealed.

The 33-year-old's baby will be her first. She is said to have secretly wed Jackson, 41, last autumn (19) after around a year of dating.
