AceShowbiz - Karlie Kloss has gotten candid about her political view. Weeks after a "Project Runway" contestant went viral with his awkward joke about her in-laws, the former Victoria's Secret Angel declared publicly that she wouldn't vote for Donald Trump in the 2020 election despite being married to Joshua Kushner.
The 27-year-old model made the statement during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" on Thursday night, January 16. Asked if she was "on the same page politically" with her family, she replied, "I'm sure I'm not the only person in this country who does not agree with their family on politics. I voted as a democrat in 2016, and I plan to do the same in 2020."
When pressed further about her political activities, Karlie was quick to share with Andy, "I'm very passionate about different issues, you know, women's reproductive health. I'm very involved with Planned Parenthood, as are you. Next time we're both home in St. Louis you should come volunteer with me."
As for her relationship with Joshua, Karlie pointed out, "I met my man in 2012, I was 19 years old. It was a different world." She went on to add, "My man and I have been through a lot together. I'm so proud he's my partner. It's not been easy, but it's worth it. I would make that same decision a million times again."
The topic was brought up because of a viral moment caused by Tyler Neasloney who seemed to be throwing a subtle shade towards Karlie in a Season 18 episode of "Project Runway". When judge Brandon Maxwell told him he could not see Karlie wore Tyler's design anywhere, the contestant hit back by saying, "Not even to dinner with the Kushners?"
Addressing the viral dig on "Watch What Happens Live", Karlie joked, "I was honored to be one of the first memes of the decade." She continued, "Honestly, the real tragedy of this whole thing is that no one is talking about how terrible that dress was. That's why he went home. I would not wear that dress to any dinner."
Karlie has gotten married to Joshua, the younger brother of Jared Kushner, in October 2018. Jared himself is married to Donald's daughter, Ivanka Trump, and has been acting a senior White House advisor since January 2017.
