When stopping by 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', the Coldplay frontman recalls the time his prank about turning the 2018 thriller movie into a musical backfired.

AceShowbiz - Rocker Chris Martin fears he's offended Emily Blunt and John Krasinski after joking about turning their horror hit "A Quiet Place" into a musical.

The Coldplay frontman was such a big fan of the 2018 thriller, co-written and directed by Krasinski, he thought it would be funny to reach out to the married stars and suggest adapting the movie into a song-and-dance number.

However, his prank backfired when the email proposal went unanswered.

"When 'A Quiet Place' came out, I had an idea for a joke afterwards, and so I sent Emily Blunt and her husband this idea for a musical of 'A Quiet Place', and it was just me (plonking on the piano), and they never replied!" Martin revealed on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show".

"So every time I see that trailer, it makes me feel sick 'cause I thought, 'Oh no, they must have thought I was taking the mickey (ridiculing them)', but I wasn't..., I love the film...".

"I never heard back!" he quipped.
