AceShowbiz - Harvey Weinstein will enter 2020 with another sex assault probe hanging over him.
The disgraced movie mogul, who will stand trial on rape charges in New York next month (January 2020), has learned prosecutors in Los Angeles are reviewing eight cases, in which the producer is accused of sexual assault, following a two-year police investigation.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has revealed officials at the Los Angeles and Beverly Hills police departments have each brought four investigations to prosecutors.
Weinstein has denied all wrongdoing in previous allegations levelled against him.
Earlier this month, insurance bosses representing Weinstein reached a tentative $25 million (£19 million) settlement with a group of the producer's sexual abuse accusers.
Under the terms of the deal, the disgraced movie mogul will not be required to admit any wrongdoing or pay anything to his accusers himself, according to TMZ.
More than 30 women, who accused Weinstein of a variety of allegations, will reportedly share the windfall and in return all claims against Weinstein and his former production house, The Weinstein Company, will be dismissed.
Weinstein remains free on bail ahead of his trial. His bond was recently raised to $5 million (£3.8 million) due to violations concerning his electronic monitoring device.
