The "Riverdale" co-stars, who play Veronica and Reggie in the hit U.S. TV show, are said to have hit pause on their romance after realising things were moving too fast.
"Camila and Charles have been separated for a few months now. They are taking a break from their relationship," a source told E! News. "Their relationship escalated very quickly and they are taking time now to focus on their work and themselves."
Both actors have been kept busy with their "Riverdale" commitments, as well as separate movie projects, and the pressures of a hectic work life took their toll on their relationship, the insider added.
"They both have movie projects separately and it's been a lot on both their plates," the source continued. "Nothing in particular happened, they just both felt busy and overwhelmed and it was a lot of pressure on them."
Despite their split, Charles and Camila are said to be on good terms, and realise they have to be "cordial" with one another on the "Riverdale" set and while on promotional duties for the show.
"They have been filming together while being split and things have been normal," the insider explained.
"Everyone is very close on the show and are all very good friends. They can't ignore each other so they just remain cordial and try and focus on filming. They are still filming 'Riverdale' season 4, but will have a break for the holidays for a few weeks."
Neither Camila nor Charles, who first started dating in October 2018, have commented on the split reports on their social media, but fans noticed recently that it's been a while since they posted a snap together.
