Rather, the rapper has been roasted by social media users over meal that they believed wasn't worth the price. Among those who roasted Kanye over the issue was 50 Cent, who took to social media over the weekend to do that.

Posting a screenshot of an article about the meals controversy, Fiddy wrote, "I thought I was hustling, this n***a selling $55 pancakes what the f**k! LOL." Many were quick to join the "Power" star in trolling Kanye, with one writing, "Someone done took a bite outta them dry a** pancakes and then they microwave pancakes." Another said, "He just wants more money, you all should've known that the Jesus scheme was all fraud and y'all fell for it."

For his Sunday Service at Bethany Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, attendees were not charged for attending the weekly service. However, if they chose to enjoy some meals prior to the concert, they opted to pay $55, and what made people angry was the fact that the food they were served was far from satisfactory.

"This is the wonderful & COLD brunch BUFFET we are being served by Boil & Roux Br. & the server looked at me crazy when I asked for another pancake," one person wrote alongside an image of a meager two pancakes, two slices of bacon and a sausage patty on a Styrofoam plate, prompting people to compare it to the infamous cheese sandwich at Fyre Festival. Someone else wrote that Kanye and the organizer "need to be ashamed."

Kanye has yet to respond to the controversy, though the caterer for the event has released a statement that read, "Lauryn's Fine Catering has been contacted about the poor service and quality of food provided during the event as a paid vendor. The catering company acknowledges it did not provide adequate food for ONE attendee and a social media post went viral. Any further inquiries or food complaints associated with the event can be directed to Lauryn's Fine Catering."
