AceShowbiz - "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" star Henry Thomas has pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving under the influence (DUI).
The former child star was arrested in Oregon last month (October 2019) after a police officer found him passed out behind the wheel of a car.
According to court papers obtained by TMZ, Thomas had bloodshot eyes and was slurring his speech as he spoke to the cop, but denied having had anything to drink.
He refused to take a field sobriety test, and a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a bottle of "fast acting THC" - short for tetrahydrocannabinol, the main psychoactive compound in marijuana.
The 48-year-old was taken into custody for misdemeanour driving under the influence of intoxicants, but Thomas plans to fight the charge, and his lawyer entered a not guilty plea on his behalf on Friday, November 1.
Another court date has been set for later this month.
