AceShowbiz - Tyrese Gibson claimed that his new movie "Black and Blue" that tackled police violence was blocked by some select theaters. He reportedly received hundreds of DMs from fans complaining that they couldn't see the film in some theaters despite it being listed there.
Tyrese said on his Instagram that there was "a lot of stuff going on right now with the movie." According to the 40-year-old actor, certain theaters were reluctant to play the Deon Taylor-directed movie either because of the controversial content or the action sequences.
He first showed that the movie received a high score of 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. "I think everyone has spoken," he said before moving on to tell his fans that some select theaters across the country either refused to play the film or switched it up with another film.
He also said that he "was told a while ago that this movie is going to affect a lot of people."
"When you swipe and pay for Black And Blue it swaps for ANOTHER movie that they’re showing....????" Tyrese additionally wrote on the caption.
