Cyn Santana Calls Joe Budden Split Her 'Best Decision' Ever: It's Good for My Mental Health

Speaking with Tiffany Pollard, the 'Love and Hip Hop: New York' beauty makes it clear that she was the one who decided to call it quits after realizing their relationship wasn't healthy.

AceShowbiz - Cyn Santana has no regret calling things quits with Joe Budden after months of engagement. Instead, she has been feeling better than ever since their split, as she reveals in an interview with Tiffany Pollard in the season 2 premiere of "Brunch With Tiffany".

During the episode, the "Love & Hip Hop: New York" beauty makes it clear that their split wasn't a mutual decision. Rather, she made the decision to break up with the rapper as she felt their relationship had the opposite effect for her mental health. "We didn't decide on anything. I did what was my best for my mental health, my peace and for me and my son, you know what I mean?" she says.

"It was a decision that I had to make on my own. This wasn't a unison thing," she continues. "How can I keep this very sweet? Basically, let's just say that I'm probably the happiest I've ever been and that was probably the best decision that I've made in my entire life in the 26 years I have on living on this Earth, the best decision I made was leaving that relationship. And my son and I are amazing."

Her interview might have explained why Joe denied they had split during an episode of his podcast series. "We didn't break up. There's been no breakup," he said at the time. "Now words are important. So what does that mean? What that means is neither of us said it's over." He went on saying that they instead "haven't spoken in a little while" and that he "didn't take it no way when she moved all of her s**t out of the house."

Joe and Cyn first met on the set of "LHH: New York" in 2014, but didn't start dating until 2016. The pair, who share a son named Lexington, got engaged in December last year, before breaking it off months later.
