According to E! News, Miley and Cody were spotted walking around a grocery in the city to grab some food during their date. While perusing their food options, an eyewitness told the site that the rumored lovebirds shared a "quick kiss," before deciding to grab a drink and some sushi. It's also said that their stop at the grocery was a "real quick" one as they "noticed people seeing them so they tried to rush out of there."

Prior to their romance rumors, Miley and Cody have been friends for a long time. In an interview back in 2015, Cody revealed that he and Miley became friends due to their shared experiences growing up in the spotlight. "Miley is one of my best friends and she helps with some of that transitional stuff -- trying to escape your childhood," he said at the time. "She's super open-minded and I'm working on becoming more like that."

The Australian star gushed over her in another interview, "She's definitely at heart a very sweet, normal, cool girl. We were spending time out at her ranch in Nashville last week and I'm like, 'Why do people say these things?' She's just the coolest chick."

Miley was previously in a brief relationship with Kaitlynn Carter following her divorce from Liam Hemsworth. The "Slide Away" singer, who has been hard at work in the studio following the splits, recently joked that she had met some "new potential partners" during her visit to a haunted house. Posting a series of pictures of her posing with zombie dummies, she jokingly wrote, "Met a couple new potential partners. Felt like I was on The Bachelorette."

Meanwhile, Cody used to be dating Gigi Hadid for five months. He also romanced model Clair Wuestenberg in the past.
